9. Handling lithium-ion batteries
When handling lithium-ion batteries, it is absolutely essential to make sure that they don’t get
damaged. Handling a battery properly eliminates nearly all hazards.
When handling a lithium-ion battery:
- Do not crush it, e.g. do not place anything heavy on top of it.
- Don’t drop it or knock it over.
- Do not open it or drill into it.
- Do not heat or burn it.
- Do not short circuit it or solder wires to it.
- Do not submerge it in liquid.
- Do not solder or weld anything to it.
- Never use a damaged battery.
For safety reasons, FlyMarker
®
mini must always be
sent for repair with batteries removed.
