“P0122” or “P0123”
TP SensorTPSCIRCUIT MALFUNCTION
DETECTED CONDITION POSSIBLE CAUSE
To read the flash code,with the EFI diagnostic
instrument
TP Sensor circuit open orshort.
TP Sensormalfunction.
ECUmalfunction.
INSPECTION
Step 1
1)
Turn the ignition switch to the “OFF”position.
2)
Check the TP sensor coupler for loose or poor
contacts.
If OK, then measure the TP sensorinput voltage.
3)
Disconnect the TP sensor coupler .
4)
Turn the ignition switch to the “ON”position.
5)
Measure the voltage at the O/B wire andground.
6)
If OK, then measure the voltage at the O/B
wire and G/Bl wire.
Tester knob indication:Voltage(—)
Is the input voltage OK?
YES Go to Step 2.
NO
Loose or poor contacts onthe
ECU coupler.
OpenorshortcircuitintheO/B
wire or G/Blwire.
