URL Blocking
The URL Blocking is the web ltering solution. The rewall includes the ability to
block access to specic web URLs based on string matches. This can allow large
numbers of URLs to be blocked by specifying only a FQDN (such as tw.yahoo.com).
The URL Blocking enforce a Web usage policy to control content downloaded from,
and uploaded to, the Web.
Conguring URL Blocking of FQDN
From the left-hand 1. Services menu,
click on Firewall->URLBlocking. The
following page is displayed:

URL Blocking capability Check this item to enable the URL Blocking feature.
FQDN A fullyqualieddomainname (or FQDN) is an
unambiguous domain name that species the node’s
position in the DNS tree hierarchy absolutely, such as
tw.yahoo.com. The FQDN will be blocked to access.
Keyword The ltered keyword such as yahoo. If the URL
includes this keyword, the URL will be blocked to
access.
