The Advanced Reporting feature enhances account management and provides associated
reports.

Account Management Enhancements
Associate Budgets to Accounts
Each account is allowed an additional set of characteristics:
•
Budget the amount the account is allowed to use in a period of time
•
Amount used since the beginning of the period
•
Threshold is the point at which the machine warns the user that the budget for the
period will soon be reached.
Additionally, the Mailing System will:
•
Block postage for accounts that have used their budget
•
Send a message to the supervisor when the budget of an account is reached
•
Reset account used amount at the next beginning of the period.
Automatically Apply Account Surcharges
You can charge accounts an additional amount each time postage is applied for these
accounts.
For each account, you can set the additional charge to be proportional to postage or a fixed
amount for each operation.
To take advantage of the Budget and Surcharge option, Accounts
must be enabled in your Mailing System (see Selecting an 'Account
Mode' on page 126 ).
