3 NW6880 TRON 40VDR FRM Float Free Capsule
3.1 General
According to the IEC61996-1:2013 (MSC.333 (90)/5.4.3) recording of the VDR data shall also take
place on an approved free-floating Final Recording Medium for a period of not less than 48 hours.
The unit to be installed in conjunction with this VDR is the Jotron TRON 40VDR which basically
comprised of an EPIRB with internal memory to the VDR.
