Hardware setup
Hardware requirements for autotuning:
PC (Windows 2000/XP) with GPIB card
Power supply
Product specific module jig
Cables: XRF-1 (RF cable), USB cable, GPIB cable and DAU-9S

Phoenix requirements
Install the phone's specific data package. This defines the phone's own product settings.
Autotuning procedure
1 Set up the test equipment as shown in the figure above. Make sure the phone (in the jig) is connected to
the equipment, otherwise some menus will not be shown in Phoenix.
2 Connect the CMU200’s input port to the WLAN RF connector (X6499) on the phone PWB, with an RF adaptor
connector.
3 In Phoenix, select Tuning > WLAN Auto-Tune from the drop-down menu.
4 Start WLAN autotuning by clicking the Tune button. It takes a couple of minutes to complete the tuning.
General chekings
Antenna line component checking
Check R7560 (0ohm resistor).
Voltage checking
Steps
1. Set up the main board in the module jig. The phone should be in local mode.
2. Check the following:
