9. Click on the Add button to save your changes (the message: Entry added or updated in
the location file
appears), or click on the Reset button if you want to reset all the values
to their previous state.
Updating a Port-Location Assignment
The procedure for updating a port-location assignment is similar to adding a port-location
assignment. The difference between the two procedures is how they are presented to you. For
example, if you already have port-locations assigned and you enter an existing “port” value,
each data field that you go through (port, location, state, and description) displays the value
currently assigned to the field.
To update a Port-Location assignment, simply update the fields with new values.
Deleting All Port-Location Assignments {Delete All}
This procedure shows you how to delete all port-location assignments. The Access Gateway
displays a warning and prompts you to confirm this action before deleting all the port-locations
currently assigned in the system.
1. From the Web Management Interface, click on Port-Location, then Delete All. The Delete
All Port-Location Assignments screen appears:
2. Click on the Delete All button to delete all Port-Location assignments.
If you have updated a port-location assignment, you may want to change its
description to distinguish from the old assignment. Although the old assignment
will no longer exist in the system, a meaningful description can often be a
valuable quick reference guide.
