Component Description
1 Canopy Contains the oversprayed powder. Air flow through the canopy
openings carries overspray (powder not deposited on the
parts being coated) suspended in the air into the floor duct.
2 Conveyor slot air knifes Use low-pressure compressed air to prevent powder from
escaping through the conveyor slot. Air should be on
continuously while system is operating.
3 Base Supports the canopy and houses the floor duct and main
system pneumatic assembly.
4 AeroDecks Cover and complete the curvature of the floor duct. Hinged so
that the duct can be opened and cleaned.
5 Floor blow-off manifolds Blows air across the floor to blow powder into the booth duct.
6 Floor duct Conveys the oversprayed powder to the cyclones. The duct is
curved so that the air flow swirls longitudinally , keeping the
powder suspended in the air and the duct walls clean.
7 Main system pneumatic
assembly
Supplies regulated air to the conveyor air knife, booth floor
blow off system, and powder feed center.
8 Fire detector head
windows
Allow fire detection system detector heads to “look” into the
booth. Fire detection system is optional.
9 Man doors Allow access to the canopy interior for the manual gun
operators.
10 Part doors Close when performing color change cleaning to contain
powder within the booth.
11 Duct door Allows operator access to the floor duct for cleaning.
