Shutdown
Use the following procedure to shut down the system.
1. Turn off the spray guns.
2. Clean the system by performing the color change process, but do not
install a new powder source. Refer to the Color Change section for more
information.
3. See Figure 4-9. At the Afterfilter Control Panel, turn ON the Fluidizing
Air and allow the powder in the afterfilter hopper to fluidize.
4. Make sure the transfer pump hoses are connected to the waste
container and that the waste container vent hose is connected to the
afterfilter.
5. Turn ON the Transfer Pumps and pump the powder out of the hopper
and into the waste container.
6. Turn OFF the Transfer Pumps and Fluidizing Air.
7. See Figure 4-11. Press the System Stop button on the Main System
Panel. The oscillators or reciprocators will shut off.
If the Remote Exhauster Start/Stop is enabled the exhauster fan will be
shut off. If not, shut it off at the Afterfilter Control Panel.
8. If you will be shutting down the system for maintenance, repair, or an
extended period of time, turn the disconnect switches on the powder
feed center, system, and afterfilter control panels to the off position.
