Powering the Library On and Off
If a maintenance procedure requires that you power the library off and/or restart, use
the procedures below:
■ Power the Library On
■ Power the Library Off
■ Restart the Library
For an explanation of library behavior following power interruptions, see "Restarting
the Library Following a Power Outage" on
page 8-5.
Power the Library On
When the SL150 library is powered off, the browser-based user interface is not
running, so you cannot power the system on remotely. You must have physical access
to the library.
To power the library on, press the power switch on the upper left quadrant of the front
panel of
the base module.
The library then boots and performs an audit of the contents. See "Auditing" on
page 8-5 for details.
Power the Library Off
1. Click on the power-button icon (a circle broken by a vertical bar) in the upper left
corner of the user interface.
A context menu appears.
2. From the context menu, select Power Down Library.
A Power Down Library dialog appears.
3. To close the dialog without restarting the library, press the Cancel button.
4. If you do not need to move the library, remove the robot, re-rack the library, or
install expansion modules, leave the Prepare the Robot for removal before the
library powers down checkbox unchecked.
5. Check the Prepare the Robot for removal before the library powers down
checkbox if you are powering down for any of the following reasons:
■ You are removing or replacing the robot.
