Unlock the Robot
Once you have completed maintenance steps that require locking the robot, remember
to unlock it prior to resuming normal operations.
Note that there are currently two styles of robot lock
in use in the field. This section
applies to the latest style, which uses a twist knob to secure the robot. If you have the
older, yoke-and-thumbscrew style, see Appendix C, "Securing Thumbscrew-Type
Robot Locks". Otherwise, proceed as follows.
1. Locate the robot lock on the back of the base module. The lock is a plastic twist
knob located at top center on the enclosure.
2. Turn the knob clockwise until it clicks into place.
When the robot is unlocked, the pointer on the knob points past the black,
unlocked padlock icon:
Restart the Library
1. If you have physical access to the library, press the power switch on the upper left
quadrant of the front panel of the base module.
2. If you are working remotely, log in to the browser-based user interface.
3. Press the power button (a circle broken by a vertical bar) in the upper left corner of
the user interface.
A context menu appears.
4. From the context menu, select Restart Library.
A Restart Library dialog appears.
5. If the library has been operating normally and if its contents have not changed,
check the Bypass audit for a faster restart ... check box.
Checking the contents of a large library can take s
