The 7420 controller supports the following configurations:

256GB, or 512GB of memory for 2.0Ghz CPUs.

Four or eight 8GB DDR3 DIMMs installed on each riser, accommodating 256GB or 512GB
of memory for 2.0GHz and 2.4Ghz CPUs.
■
Four or eight 16GB DDR3 DIMMs installed on each riser, accommodating 512GB or 1TB
of memory for 2.4Ghz CPUs.
