15-3-2. Version-up, Backup (/Restore) Procedures
Software version-up, Backup and Restore operation use to different Software. Details as following chart.

15-3-3. FLASH ROM software version-up.
1. Connect the VFK1304A between PC and Camera recorder. (As shown Figure 3-1.)
2. Turn ON Camera recorder.
3. Start PC in DOS mode.
4. Copy the all composition files in Version-up Data Folder (vvvsi file) to PC (any Hard drive, any directory).
5. Execute the Batch file
“FL_ALL.BAT”
in copied files. Data transfer will be started from PC to Camera
recorder. (ERASE → WRITE → VERIFY)(Refer to Fig. 3-2)
6. When displayed “DOS command prompt”, Data transfer is completed. It takes about 10minutes.
7. Turn Off - On the Camera recorder and then confirm the version number.
* Software version numbers are display in <DIAGNOSTIC> page (ENG menu).
15-3-4. Data backup
1. Start PC in DOS mode.
2. Make new directory in your PC and then copy to
their all composition files in VFK1468A.
3. Connect the VFK1304A between PC and Camera
recorder. (As shown Figure 3-1.)
4. Execute the batch file “BACKUP.BAT” contained in
VFK1468A.
5. Data transfer will be started from Camera recorder
to PC as shown in figure 3-2.
6. When a message indicated
”Flash Memory:
Read Complete”
, data transfer is completed.
7. Turn Off - On the Camera recorder.
* The backup data is named “Backup.bin” and then saved as same directory of VFK1468A. It is replaced every
backup. If want to keep the backup data, rename file name. (8 Characters max)
15-3-5. Restore
1. Start PC by DOS mode.
2. Connect the VFK1304A between PC and Camera recorder. (As shown Figure 3-1.)
3. Execute the program file
“TRANS.BAT”
contained in VFK1468A.
4. Data transfer will be started.
5. When displayed “DOS command prompt”, Data transfer is completed. It takes about 10minutes.
