f When [FOCUS OFFSET BRIGHT] and [FOCUS OFFSET DARK] are set following the guidance of [SETUP ASSISTANT] with AC 100 V
to AC 120 V, use the projector with AC 100 V to AC 120 V. When the power supply is changed to AC 200 V to AC 240 V, reset the settings
using [SETUP ASSISTANT].
Performing simplied setting using the external input image
Input any focus adjustment still image from the external device connected to the projector, and set the parameters
for [FOCUS OFFSET BRIGHT] and [FOCUS OFFSET DARK] following the guidance of [SETUP ASSISTANT].
1) Switch to the input to display the focus adjustment image.
2) Press as to select [LENS].
3) Press the <ENTER> button.
f The [LENS] screen is displayed.
4) Press as to select [ACTIVE FOCUS OPTIMIZER].
5) Press the <ENTER> button.
f The [ACTIVE FOCUS OPTIMIZER] screen is displayed.
6) Press as to select [FOCUS OFFSET SETUP].
7) Press the <ENTER> button.
f The [FOCUS OFFSET SETUP] screen is displayed.
8) Press as to select [SETUP ASSISTANT].
9) Press the <ENTER> button.
f If the [PROJECTOR SETUP] menu → [LIGHT OUTPUT] is set to [100.0%], the internal focus test pattern of
signal level approximately 50 % is projected, and the [SETUP ASSISTANT] screen (page 1/8) is displayed.
Proceed to Step 11).
f If the [PROJECTOR SETUP] menu → [LIGHT OUTPUT] is set to less than [100.0%], the conrmation
screen is displayed. Proceed to Step 10).
10) Press qw to select [NEXT], and press the <ENTER> button.
f Even if [PROJECTOR SETUP] menu → [LIGHT OUTPUT] is set to less than [100.0%], the projector will
operate with the [100.0%] setting while [SETUP ASSISTANT] is executing. Once [SETUP ASSISTANT] is
completed, it will return to the original [LIGHT OUTPUT] setting value.
f After conrming the conrmation message, press qw to select [NEXT], and press the <ENTER>
button. The internal focus test pattern of signal level approximately 50 % is projected, and the [SETUP
ASSISTANT] screen (page 1/8) is displayed.
f To cancel the setting by [SETUP ASSISTANT], press qw to select [CANCEL], and press the <ENTER>
button. [SETUP ASSISTANT] is canceled, and the [FOCUS OFFSET SETUP] screen is displayed.
11) Wait until [Waiting time] turns [0s].
f Wait until the focus is stabilized.
f When the [Waiting time] turns [0s], the [Please wait...] message disappears, and [NEXT] becomes
selectable.
12) Press qw to select [NEXT], and press the <ENTER> button.
f The [SETUP ASSISTANT] screen (page 2/8) is displayed.
f It will return to previous screen by selecting [BACK] and pressing the <ENTER> button.
13) Press asqw to select [FOCUS POSITION].
14) Press the qw button to adjust the focus.
15) Press asqw to select [NEXT], and press the <ENTER> button.
f The [SETUP ASSISTANT] screen (page 3/8) is displayed.
16) Press asqw to select [TEST PATTERN].
17) Press qw to select [EXTERNAL].
f The items will switch each time you press the button.
