[INTERNAL] Select this item when using the internal test pattern for focus adjustment.
[EXTERNAL]
Uses the input image from the external device for focus adjustment. If the level of [Brightness of the
image] falls below the specied value, [NEXT] cannot be selected. When the bright image with a
brightness level indicated in the menu screen (OSD) or greater is input, [NEXT] can be selected.
18) Press asqw to select [NEXT], and press the <ENTER> button.
f The [SETUP ASSISTANT] screen (page 4/8) is displayed.
f It will return to previous screen by selecting [BACK] and pressing the <ENTER> button.
19) Wait until [Waiting time] turns [0s].
f Wait until the focus is stabilized.
f When the [Waiting time] turns [0s], the [Please wait...] message disappears, and [NEXT] becomes
selectable.
20) Press qw to select [NEXT], and press the <ENTER> button.
f The [SETUP ASSISTANT] screen (page 5/8) is displayed.
f It will return to previous screen by selecting [BACK] and pressing the <ENTER> button.
21) Press asqw to select [FOCUS POSITION].
22) Press the qw button to adjust the focus.
23) Press asqw to select [NEXT], and press the <ENTER> button.
f The [SETUP ASSISTANT] screen (page 6/8) is displayed.
24) Press asqw to select [TEST PATTERN].
25) Press qw to select [EXTERNAL].
f The items will switch each time you press the button.

Uses the input image from the external device for focus adjustment. If the level of [Brightness of
the image] exceeds the specied value, [NEXT] cannot be selected. When the dark image with a
brightness level indicated in the menu screen (OSD) or lower is input, [NEXT] can be selected.
26) Press asqw to select [NEXT], and press the <ENTER> button.
f The [SETUP ASSISTANT] screen (page 7/8) is displayed.
f It will return to previous screen by selecting [BACK] and pressing the <ENTER> button.
27) Wait until [Waiting time] turns [0s].
f Wait until the focus is stabilized.
f When the [Waiting time] turns [0s], the [Please wait...] message disappears, and [NEXT] becomes
selectable.
28) Press qw to select [NEXT], and press the <ENTER> button.
f The [SETUP ASSISTANT] screen (page 8/8) is displayed.
f It will return to previous screen by selecting [BACK] and pressing the <ENTER> button.
29) Press asqw to select [FOCUS POSITION].
30) Press the qw button to adjust the focus.
31) Press asqw to select [STORE], and press the <ENTER> button.
f [SETUP ASSISTANT] is completed, and the parameters for [FOCUS OFFSET BRIGHT] and [FOCUS
OFFSET DARK] are updated.
Note
f When the parameters for [FOCUS OFFSET BRIGHT] and [FOCUS OFFSET DARK] are set by executing [SETUP ASSISTANT], the
[PROJECTOR SETUP] menu → [LENS] → [ACTIVE FOCUS OPTIMIZER] → [ACTIVE FOCUS] will be set to [ON].
f When [FOCUS OFFSET BRIGHT] and [FOCUS OFFSET DARK] are set following the guidance of [SETUP ASSISTANT] with AC 100 V
to AC 120 V, use the projector with AC 100 V to AC 120 V. When the power supply is changed to AC 200 V to AC 240 V, reset the settings
using [SETUP ASSISTANT].
