For versions of the M3046A Monitor with software revision D or lower, do the following. In
service mode:
Step 1 Select 'Setup NBP'
Step 2 Select 'Cal Mode'
Step 3 Select desired NBP measurement characteristic according to the table and graphs
below:

The blood pressure measurements
determined with this device and
measurement characteristic set to "2"
comply with the American National
Standard for Electronic or Automated
Sphygmomanometers (ANSI/AAMI SP-
10-1992) in relation to mean error and
standard deviation, when compared to
auscultatory measurements in a
representative patient population. For the
auscultatory reference the 5th Korotkoff
sound was used to determine the diastolic
pressure.
