Recommendations for Maintenance Frequency
The maintenance checklist appears in the next section of this chapter. The listed procedures
should be performed as indicated in the Suggested Maintenance Timetable below. The
checklist may be photocopied and should be completed by the maintainer. It should be filed
for future reference. The owner of the equipment is responsible for the performance of the
maintenance activities in line with the schedule below.
Suggested Maintenance Timetable Frequency
Inspect the Instrument, and inspect the
cables and cords for the entire Instrument.
Daily.
Preventive Maintenance for the M3046A
Monitor
Cleaning procedures.
Testing Procedures
Clean as needed.

Preventive Maintenance for the M3000A/
M3001A Measurement Server
Cleaning procedures.
Non-invasive Blood Pressure Cali-
bration test
Testing procedures.
Clean as needed.
Once every two years.

Preventive Maintenance for the M3015A
Measurement Server Extension
Cleaning procedures.
Replace pump and CO
2
scrubber, if
required (units with serial number
prefix DE020xxxxx only)
Calibration Procedures
Testing Procedures.
Clean as needed.
After 15,000 to 20,000 hours of
use (max. 20 000 hours) or as
needed (typically 3 - 6 years of
use). Replace both parts at the
same time if both have >15 000
hours of continuous use.
Once a year.
