8. Using the Flywheel Puller tool

, insert the puller’s
screws

into the flywheel.
Flywheel Puller:
PU-52498
NOTICE
Do not thread the puller screws into the magneto/stator
located behind the flywheel.
9. Turn the puller center bolt in until the flywheel

“pops” off of the crankshaft.
STATOR REMOVAL / INSPECTION
1. Remove the flywheel. See Flywheel Removal /
Inspection page 3.65.
2. Remove the fasteners

securing the trigger coils.
3. Remove the stator wire retainer
w
that prevents the
trigger coil wires from contacting the flywheel.
4. Remove the three fasteners
e
securing the stator.
