2 battery cabinets to the UPS:
1.
Remove the right top deadfront and the left top deadfront. Save them and their
hardware for later reuse.
Note:
If you are installing more than
one
battery cabinet, perform this step only
for the last battery cabinet on either end of the line up (only one end will be
wired to the UPS).
2.
Install the lug kii removed in step 3 of “To prepare battery cabinets” on page
36.
Note: If you are using a wall-mounted battery disconnect (optional), see
Table
G on page
57
to determine the wiring needed between the battery cabinets and
the UPS. Then skip to step
5
below.
3.
Connect one cable to each of the two battery breaker terminal lugs indicated in
Figure 22. (See Table
R
on page A-6 for lug sizes.) Route both cables to
terminals E4 and
DS
of the UPS in either of these ways:
l
Through the top entry location
(identified
in Drawing 164206263-7 on
page A- 16)
l
Through
the bottom
entry
location (see Drawing 164266263-7
for the
bottom entry routing hole location)
4. See Figure 3 on page 11 to locate
TB3
in the UPS cabinet. If
TB3
is supplied,
connect two control wires to
it
and route the wires through the battery cabinet
top or bottom entry to TBI. See Table L on page A-2 for wiring
speci6cations.
5.
Replace the deadfronts you removed in step 1 of this procedure.
6.
After making sure that the battery breaker (see Figure 22 on page 36 for
location) is in the
OFF position, connect the battery
strings
in the battery cabinet
by mating
all
disconnected battery drawer connectors to the closest string
connectors.
7.
Mount the right side panel (removed in step 1
of
“To
prepare the battery
cabinet”) to the right side of the end battery cabinet:
a.
Mount
the
hanger bracket to the top right side of the battery cabinet
b.
Hang the
right
side panel on the hanger bracket and align it with the
front and rear
of
the battery cabinet
C.
Seoure
the
rigM
side panel at the bottom.
6.
Secure all battery cabinets by reversing steps 1

9.
Secure the UPS by reversing the applicable steps performed in preparing the
UPS for installation of the battery cabinets (see page
17).
