NOTE: When in User Menu mode (and hidden display mode is enabled), the keypad will drop out
of the user menu and then into hidden display mode if no keys are pressed for 20 seconds. As
long as a key is pressed at least once every 20 seconds then user mode will remain active. Care
must be taken not to keep pressing invalid keystrokes as this may cause the alarm panel to
interpret this as a key tamper attempt and force the panel into a tamper alarm.
Restore Battery Faults
Exiting Engineer Mode - Battery faults will be restored (in the log and reported to the CMS) when Engineer
Mode is left and the battery is healthy. This option is useful when used in conjunction with the battery
monitoring board. The battery monitoring board only produces a battery fault for a short duration (5 seconds),
if the battery fails the load test.
As They Occur - Battery faults will be restored (in the log and reported to the CMS) when the battery
recovers or is replaced.
Display Alarm
When Alarm Occurs - An alarm message will be displayed whenever an alarm occurs.
Only If Panel Disarmed - Alarms will only be displayed in FTA mode.
Latching Alarms
Matrix 832+ panels sold in Denmark, Norway, Finland & Sweden,
have an additional feature called
latching alarms. This feature causes the keypads to hold or latch the fact that there has been an alarm
event.
The LCD keypads display a VIEW THE LOG message to indicate a latched alarm. The LED and ICON
keypads flash the BELL indicator at twice the normal rate, in disarmed mode.
You can clear the latched alarm indicator using one of two possible ways. When you re-arm the panel
the previous latched alarm is cleared, ready for the next alarm event. Alternatively, you can view the
event log using the master user function VIEW LOG. This will automatically clear the latched alarm.
