MEANING
DD243 Options
Enable DD243 Options
This is the first option in the DD243 section. This option needs to be enabled before any of the remaining
options will be considered. Change this option to [Yes] to allow the remaining DD243 features to be used. The
factory default setting is [No].
Arm Zone Operation
This is option two in the DD243 section. It determines how an Arm Zone affects confirmed alarms.
Normal Operation - The Arm Zone will behave as normal. Confirmed alarms will not be disabled by Arm
Zones (default).
Disable Confirmation - When the Arm zone is opened or the Entry Timer is running, confirmed alarms will be
disabled.
Entry Timer Operation
This is option three in the DD243 section. It determines how the Entry timer affects confirmed alarms.
Normal Operation - The Entry Timer will behave as normal. Confirmed alarms will not be disabled by the
Entry Timer (default).
Disable Confirmation - While the Entry Timer is running confirmed alarms will be disabled.
Auto Omit Open Zones
This is option four in the DD243 section. It determines when open zones will be omitted.
At End Of Confirmation Time – Any zones that are open when the confirmation timer ends will be omitted. If
any open zone is programmed as an Entry/Exit zone, all Access zones will be turned into Entry/Exit zones for
the remaining time the panel is set. This allows the user to enter the building without setting the alarm system
off again.
At End Of Bell Time – Any zones that are open when bell timer ends will be omitted. There is no attempt to
convert Access zones into Entry/Exit zones. The panel will go into alarm if the user enters the building straight
into an Access zone.
Zone Expander Tamper
This is option 5 in the DD243 section. It decides if a missing zone expander sends a confirmed or unconfirmed
alarm.
Unconfirmed Alarm - If Tamper On Device Missing (see System Options 2) is set then only an unconfirmed
alarm is activated (default).
Confirmed Alarm - If Tamper On Device Missing (see System Options 2) is set then both an unconfirmed
and confirmed alarm are activated.
Fire, PA and Medical Keys
This is option 6 in the DD243 section. It allows the Fire, PA and Medical keys to be disabled, if required.
Enabled - The Fire, PA and Medical keys are enabled (default)
Disabled - The Fire, PA and Medical keys are disabled (see System Options 1).
Entry Time End
This is option 7 in the DD243 section. It determines whether sequential confirmation is re-enabled at the end
of the entry time.
Do not re-enable confirmation - This option should be selected if either opening or unlocking the initial entry
door enables confirmation.
Re-enable confirmation - This option should be selected if disarming is achieved by using a portable ACE.
