To test acknowledgement through the CEC Controller:
1. Access the CEC Controller using the procedures in “To run the CEC/CDC Controller:”
on page 78.
2. Select the acknowledgement test you wish to run.
The table below describes the checkbox fields of the Enable Acks portion of the
CEC/CDC Controller dialog box.
Refer to the screen shots below. The first screen shot shows an example where the
Directed data acknowlegemenet is disabled. This means that the CEC device that the
882 is emulating will not acknowledge an incoming data byte sent directly to it. The
second example shows an example where the Broadcast header data
acknowlegement is disabled. This means that the CEC device that the 882 is emulating
will not acknowledge an incoming data byte sent directly to it.

Setting Function
Directed header Sets whether or not incoming directed header bits
are acknowledged.
Directed data Sets whether or not incoming directed data bits
are acknowledged.
Broadcast header Sets whether or not incoming broadcast header
bits are acknowledged
Broadcast data Sets whether or not incoming broadcast data bits
are acknowledged
