4 Carefully drill
off
the rivet heads using a
3·97mm
(

in) dia. drill, and then tap rivet
shafts from the frame.

Press
the silent channel back into the frame
and
fully
lower
window.
6 Prise the silent channel from the
top
of
the
frame,
drill the heads
off
the six retaining rivets,
and tap the shafts from the frame.

Pull
window
frame slightly forward and then
lift
from the door.
8 The
window
glass can then
be
removed
from the base
of
the door.
9 Remove the shafts
of
the rivets,
eight
in all,
which
will
have fallen
into
the base
of
the door.
To
replace
1 Place the
window
glass in the base
of
the
door.
2 Locate the
window
frame in the
door
and
carefully
lower
over the
window
glass. Ensure
the
glass fits correctly in the silent channels.
3 Prise the silent channel from the
top
of
the
window
frame and secure
top
half
of
the frame
to
the
door
using six
3·175
x
12·70mm
(0·125
x
0·50in)
rivets.
4 Press the
silent channel back
into
the frame
and raise
window
glass.
5 Prise the silent channel from the bottom
of
the
window
frame and then rivet frame
to
door.
6 Press the
silent channel back
into
the frame
ensuring it is
squarely seated.
7 Lower
window
glass.
8 Replace regulator mechanism, waterproof
sheet,
door
lock
mechanism and
door
casing, etc.
Side
door
weatherstrips
To
remove
and
replace
(see
Figure
2)
1 Remove regulator handle and
door
casing
as
previously described.
2 Using a
3·97mm
(a5
2
in)
dia. drill, carefully
drill
the heads
off
the rivets securing
weatherstrip
to
door
casing.- Remove rivet
shafts.
3 Position
new
weatherstrip and secure
to
door
casing
with
six
3·175
x
8·89mm
(0·125
x
0·35in)
rivets.

With
the
window
fully
open carefully drill
the heads
off
the rivets securing outer
weatherstrip
to
door.
5 Push the rivet shafts through
into
door
body
and then peel weatherstrip from door.
6 Remove
all signs
of
adhesive from
weatherstrip seating on door.
7
Smear a
light
coating
of
adhesive on
new
weatherstrip and its seating on
door
and leave
until
tacky.

8 Fit weatherstrip
to
door
and rivet in position.
9
Replace
door
casing and regulator handle.
Side
door
To
remove
(see
Figure
2)
1 Peel back the carpet from
footwell
side
sufficiently
to
clear
door
hinge access panel.
2 Unscrew six No. 8 self tapping screws and
remove hinge access
panel.

With
an assistant supporting the
door
remove three
:!-
UN
F set screws, complete
with
plain washers and lockwashers, securing
lower
door
hinge
to
body. Remove single:!-
UNF
set
screw, coachwasher,.
lockwasher and
nut
securing hinge box
to
support plate and body.
4 Repeat operation for upper hinge and
remove door,
complete
with
hinges, from
vehicle.

If
necessary, the hinge support plate can be
withdrawn
through access aperture after
removing
two
-l
UN
F set screws, coachwashers
and lockwashers.
6
Replace in reverse order.
Door hinge
To
remove
(see
Figure
2)
1 Remove
door
as
previously described.
2 Unscrew
four:!-
UNF
countersunk set
screws,
complete
with
lockwashers, and remove
upper hinge from door.
3 Repeat procedure for
lower
hinge.

Replace in reverse order.
Rear
door
- van
To
remove
(see
Figure
3)
1 From underneath R.H. rear wheel arch
disconnect rear number
plate lamp lead at
snap connector.
2 Remove
two:!-
UNF
nuts, lockwashers and
plain washers from upper and
lower
hinges and
lift
rear
door
from vehicle.
Withdraw
the
four
fixing studs.
