gain access to the split pin, securing brake master
cylinder clevis
to brake pedal. Remove sp lit pin
and washer.
2 From inside footwall withdraw clevis pin
and disconnect master cylinder clevis from
brake pedal.
3 Disconnect fluid pipe from cylinder and plug
to prevent loss of fluid and ingress of dirt.
4 Unscr ew -h UNF nut and set screvy,
complete with lockwashers and plain washers,
and remove mas ter cylinder.
5 Repla ce in rever se order.
Brake pedal assembly
The brake pedal shares a mounting bracket
assembly wi th the clutch and accelerator pedals.
This assembly has to be removed from the
vehicle
footwall before the pedals can be
dismantl ed . The procedure is described in
Section H - The Clutch.
Handbrake
To replace handbrake cable (see Figure 7)
1 With the handbrake in the ' OFF position,

remove the split pins, washer and clevis pin and
disconnect cab le clevis from R.H. and LH .
rear wheel handbrake levers.
2 Release cable from axle location brackets.

Pull down handbrake pulley and detach
from clevis by removing split pin, washer and
clevis pin.

Slacken adjuster lo cking nuts, release cable
from handbrake mounting plate, and remove
cable from vehicle.
5 locate new cable in handbrake mounting
plate locations, fit adjusters and secure with
the locknuts.
6 Fit pulley in the cable and secure to clevis
with clevis pin, washer and new split pin.
7 lo cate cable in axle brackets and then
reconnect
to R.H. and LH . rear wheel brake
le vers with clevis pin, washer and new split pin.
8 Readjust handbrake.
