4 Disconnect temperature sender
unit
lead at
thermostat.
5 Disconnect oil pressure switch at cylinder
block.
6 Disconnect high and
low
tension leads
from coil.
7 Disconnect earthing lead from engine front
mounting.
8 Disconnect speedometer cable at gearbox.
9 Disconnect throttle cable at pedal and
withdraw
from body.

The Saloon and Van use identical fixing points
for securing
the
body
to
the chassis.

Disconnect clutch cable at operating lever.
On early vehicles three types
of
mounting
plates are used and are located
as
shown
in
Figure
5. The mounting plates used
for
securing
the
body
to
the longitudinal chassis
side members are rivetted
into
the box section
of
the
chassis.
Later vehicles use a standard mounting
plate,
also
shown
in
Figure
5. The mounting plates
used
for
securing the
body
to
the longitudinal
chassis side members are rivetted
into
the
top
flanges
of
the
chassis.

body

1 Disconnect and remove battery.
2 Disconnect alternator leads.
3 Disconnect starter motor lead.
