2 Remove windscreen, weatherstrip, and side
door
seals.
3 Remove rear
view
mirror, interior lamp and
sun visors.

Peel
down
top section
of
'A'
post trim
covers.

Spring the
two
headlining listing rods from
the retainers.
6 Withdraw
listing rods from headlining and
mark
to
ensure correct replacement.
To
replace
1 Thread the listing rods in the correct order,
into the
new
headlining.
2 Starting from the front
apply contact
adhesive
to
the edge
of
the headlining.
3 Ensuring the headlining is central
to
the
vehicle roof, temporarily tack the cloth·to the
windscreen aperture using spire
clips.
4
Apply
adhesive to the rear edge
of
the
headlining and
fit
over roof moulding. The
headlining
should
be
kept
as
taut
as
possible.
5
Apply
adhesive
to
R.H. edge
of
headlining,
fit
listing rods into retainers and tack cloth
to
door aperture, again using spire clips.
6 Repeat operation for L.H. side ensuring the
headlining is kept taut.
7 Trim excess material from headlining.
8
Allow
the adhesive to take and then remove
spire
clips.
9 Using a light coating
of
adhesive
fit
top
of
R.H.
and L.H.
'A'
post trim covers over
headlining.

0 Replace door seals and windscreen.

Refit sun visors, interior lamp and rear
view
mirror.

Reconnect battery.
Fascia and centre console
To
remove
(see
Figure
5)
1 Disconnect battery.
2 Remove windscreen (see
Section
Q).

Press
in retaining lugs, remove heater and
choke Knobs from centre console.
4 Remove gear lever knob.
5 Remove
two
No. 8 screws securing rear
of
centre console to driveshaft tunnel. Then lift
centre console, complete
with
gaiter, over gear
lever.
6 Remove steering wheel (see
Section
D).
7 Remove multiswitch (see
Section
T).
8 Remove clamping bracket securing steering
column to fascia.
9 Disconnect instruments and switches (see
Section
T).

Remove radio,
if
fitted (see
Section
V).
11
Remove
two
No. 8 screws securing centre
of
fascia to engine bulkhead.

Remove single No. 8 countersunk screw
securing centre
of
fascia
top
to body.

Remove single
bolt
securing
R.H.
and L.H.
side
of
fascia
to
body.

The fascia can
now
be
removed from the
vehicle.
To
replace
1 Locate the fascia and secure to the body at
the five fixing points.
2 Reconnect instruments and switches.
3 Refit radio,
if
fitted.
4
Secure steering column clamping bracket
to
base
of
fascia.
5 Refit multiswitch and cover.
6 Refit steering
wheel.
7 Refit centre console.
8 Refit gear
lever knob.
9 Refit heater and choke
control knobs.
10
Refit windscreen.

Reconnect battery.
