6.6 DRUM CHARGE
6.6.1 OVERVIEW OF DRUM CHARGE
This machine uses a drum charge roller to charge the drum.
The drum charge roller [A] contacts the surface of the drum [B] to give it a negative charge.
The high voltage supply board [C] supplies a negative dc voltage to the drum charge roller
through the charge roller terminal [D], bias plate [E], and the rear roller bushing [F] to give
the drum surface a negative charge of –800 V.
