4.6 Portable chassis (VB20)
The VB20 portable probe is built for real world use. Its ruggedized exterior and fan-less design gives
engineers the perfect fault-finding tool when roaming in the network or for permanent placement in a
harsh environment.

4.6.1 AC Power Supply
The portable chassis is delivered with one built-in 100–240V AC / 40 W power supply.
4.6.2 Cooling System
The portable unit is equipped with fans that suck in air from front of the chassis. The air exits at the back
of the unit. It is recommended that the venting holes are not covered up.
4.6.3 Serial number location
The serial number is located at the rear of the unit. All serial numbers can also be found on the shipping
box.
The serial number of the VB20 probe is also available via the web GUI under About — License.
4.6.4 Interfaces
The VB20 has Ethernet and ASI inputs.
