Schedule:
The Schedule drop-down menu allows the user to associate a scheduling
scheme to a service, in effect masking alarms during selected intervals.
Scheduling templates are defined in the
Setup — Scheduling
view.
The predefined scheduling templates ‘Never’ and ‘Always’ will always
be selectable, and these will result in service alarms never and always
being masked, respectively.
Note that if a PID is shared between several services and alarm masking
is defined for one of the services, no alarms will be raised due to errors
affecting this service.
Note that it is possible to create a service threshold template that allows probe alarming if a new service
appears in a stream. This is done by creating a threshold template listing the service IDs that are allowed
to be present in a stream, and associating it to the stream. A complementary ETR threshold template
should be created, that has the ‘Only allow services listed in service template’ check enabled. This ETR
threshold template should also be associated with the stream.
6.9.15 ETR 290 — Gold TS thresholds
The Gold TS reference feature is used to compare the tables in the transport stream with a set of stored
reference tables. This allows the operator to be notified of any changes in the PSI/SI tables such as:
• A service disappearing
• A new service being added
• Language descriptors suddenly changing
• Changes in service names
• Changes in frequencies used to transmit the signals
