NOTE:When in a curve point on the righthand side of the AZL screen, pressing “Esc” will
bring the cursor back to the left, off of the numbers.Pressing “Esc” again while off of the
numbers will bring up a prompt to ask if the point is to be stored (press “Enter”) or the
changescanceled(press “Esc”).Ifstor eis selected,a barwill r
otate onthe lefthandside of
theAZL5displaywhilethepointisbeingstored.
NOTE:Whenputtinginanewpointthatisnotyetdefined(XXXXshownforthepositionsand
load), pressing “Enter” will put in values for the positions and load from the previous point
basedonloadnumber.Thesevaluesserveasaplacetostartforthenewpoint.
9. WiththeRatioControlCurveslaidoutonpaperorwiththespreadsheet,beginsettingthecurve
pointsfromlowfire(Point1)tohighfire(Point10).Thegeneralprocedureforeachpointisto
match the load number to the fuel flow while maintaining safe combustion. After this is
complete, adjust the air and / or FGR as necessary to achieve safe, efficient combustion and
emissionscomplianceoneachpoint.
10. The following is a summary of what should be achieved for each point on the Ratio Control
Curve:
Forstandardburners(LMV51,orLMV52withoutO
2
trim):
a. Safe,efficientcombustionasverifiedbyacalibratedstackgasanalyzer
b. The%loadmatchingthefuelflowwithin+/‐5%
c. Emissionscompliance
d. SmoothRatioControlCurves(nosharppeaksandvalleys)
Forstandardnozzlemixingburners(noorlow%FGR)andO

trim(LMV52):
e. Allpointsathrudabove
f. VSDspeedshouldincreasewithloadinalinearfashion(ifequipped)
g. The%loadmatchingthefuelflowwithin+/‐3%
h. Find andrecord the %O

wetcorrespondingtothefuelrichli mit(O2 Alarmvalue)for
eachpointbyprobing*
i. Find and record the %O
2
wet corresponding to the fuel lean limit (O2 MaxValue) for
Point1andPoint10byprobing*
j. Lastbutnotleast,leavethecurvepointssothatthe%O
2
wetis2%higherthanthefuel
richlimit(O2Alarmvalue).Recordthisasthesavedvalueforeachcurvepoint.
