UnsuccessfulVSDStandardization
ForinformationonwhatVSDstandardizingisorhowtoperformstandardization,seeSection5.
Thestandardizedspeedcanbeviewedusingthefollowingmenupath:
Params&Display>VSDModule>Configuration>Speed>StandardizedSp
Fora3600RPMmotor,thestandardizedspeedistypically3500+/‐100RPM.Ifthisisthecase,
thestandardizationwassuccessful.IftheVSDdoesnotstandardizesuccessfully,checkthe
following:
1. TheVSDcannotstandardizeifthesafetyloopisopen.Checkthatthesafetyloopisclosed
bymakingsurethereis120VAConterminalX3‐03.1.Ifthereisnot,checkthelimitsinthe
safetyloopandtheburnerflangetoseewhichlimitisopen.
2. EnsurethattheLMV52isnotinalarm.Ifso,resetthefaultandattempttostandardize
again.
3. Verifythespeedwheelisinstalledontheblowermotorcorrectlyandthegapbetweenthe
speedsensorandthespeedwheeliscorrect(about1/16”).Also,useSection2toverify
thatthewiringfromthespeedsensortotheLMV52iscorrect.TheyellowLEDontheback
ofthespeedsensorshouldblinkeverytimeaspeedwheel“finger”passesbythenoseof
thesensor.Ifitdoesnotblink,thesensoriswiredincorrectly,thesensorismountedtoofar
fromthespeedwheel,orthesensorisdefective.
4. Checktoensurethattheairdamperopenswhenthestandardizationisactivated.
Ifthisdoesnothappen,settheairactuatorto“airinfluenced”usingthe following menu
path:
Params&Display>RatioControl>Gas/OilSettings>AirActuator
5. Checkthera
mptimesontheLMV52andtheVSD.
TheramptimesontheVSDmustbefaster(shorter)thantheramptimesontheLMV52.
TheLMV52ramptimescanbefoundusingthefollowingmenupaths:
Params&Display>RatioControl>Times>OperatRampMod
Params&Display>RatioControl>Times>TimeNoFlame
Ingeneral,theVSDramptimesshouldbesetabout5secondsfaster(shorter)thanthe
LMV52ramptimes.
