d. Ifastartmodewithcombustionairtemperaturecompensationwillbeused,theair

eraturesensormustbeinstalledandactivated.
2. AswasthecasefortheRatioControlCurvesinSection4,thesamefreespreadsheetcanalsobe
usedtoassistinthecommissioningoftheO

trim.ThisspreadsheetgraphicallyillustratestheO
2
curvesaswellasprovidesanorderlywaytorecordthedetailsofhowtheburnerwassetup.

3. ThekeytocommissioningtheO

curvesquicklyandeasilyiscontainedintheRatioControlCurves.
Specifically,thefollowingmustbeachievedforeachpointontheRatioControl Curves(as
paraphrasedfromSection4ofthisliterature):
a. Safecombustionasverifiedbyacalibratedstackgasanalyzer
b. The%loadmatchingthefuelflowwithin+/‐3%
c. Emissionscompliance
d. SmoothRatioControlCurves(nosharppeaksorvalleys)
e. VSDspeedshouldincreasewithloadinalinearfashion(ifequipped)
f. Determine the %O
2
wet corresponding to the fuel rich limit (O
2
Alarm value) for each point.
Probingmayormaynotbepossibledependingontheburnerdesign.Also,followburnerOEM
