9.2.1
Mounting phase barriers
The following steps are necessary for fitting the phase barriers on the 3KC4 and 3KC8
transfer switching equipment of current ratings 250 A to 630 A.
Note
If bridging bars are used, mount them first.
Requirements
● Main circuit is disconnected
● Transfer switching equipment is in the "Manual" position
● Bridging bars are mounted (if used)
● Accessories for the electronic module installed (3KC8 only)
Procedure
Figure 9-4 Mounting phase barriers
1. Insert the barrier into the mounting channels on the transfer switching equipment.
– With 3-pole types, insert 4 phase barriers per side in each case.
– With 4-pole types, insert 6 phase barriers per side in each case.
