Additions to WinCC Explorer
You open the WinCC Explorer with the corresponding project by dragging and dropping the
"<PROJECT>.MCP" project file on the " WinCCExplorer.exe" file or on the shortcut on the
desktop.
Entries for the Graphics Designer
● The shortcut menu has been expanded with the commands "Password Protection" and
"Save as Web-enabled".

Additions to tag management
Comments on tags
You can add comments to tags. The comments are displayed for the tags in the tag selection
dialog.
Prefixes and suffixes for specific connections
You can specify prefixes and suffixes for connections that are automatically assigned to the
imported in WinCC process tags.
Graphics Designer: Enhancements and improved operation
● New smart object "SVG object" for inserting pictures with scalable vector graphics in a
process picture.
● An SVG library has been added. The global library contains read-only SVG libraries with
ready-made SVG graphics that are available as "zip" files. The project library enables a
project-specific SVG library to be built.
● Objects and controls are inserted in the process picture using drag-and-drop.
● A style item can be inserted into one or more objects of the picture or process picture using
drag-and-drop.
● The central color palette and global design settings in the Graphics Designer are opened
via the "Tools" menu command.
● New buttons in the object palette and additions to the shortcut menu for sorting objects on
the level.
● Multiple selection by clicking on the objects while holding down the <Shift> or <Ctrl> key
or both keys simultaneously.
● Additions to the zoom palette.
● Additional fill patterns are available for objects.
