Reading the firmware state:
If the module has been erased (i.e., the module is not
parameterized
or has not been erased by
software), the firmware state can be recognized by reading bytes 4,5, and 6 without read prompt-
ing
whereby:
Byte 4 = Year
Byte 5 = Month
Byte 6 = Day
Reading the initial or end
setpoint
of a track:
Example: Track number = 20
Read end value (as a check)
‘“e’
EiEi9
J
L = 1 = Read
S = O = Set oint indicator
E = 1 = En value
After definition of (in a write cycle via byte 4) what is to be read from bytes 4,5, and 6 in a read cycle,
the read operation can start after a scan of the SP bit = “O”.
Sequence:
– Read SP bit
– Write, specify byte 4
– Read, SP bit
If “O”, read bytes 4,5, and 6
for every initial or end track
setpoint
or for every actual channel value to be read.
IR
= “1” for parameterization with interrupt.
If a track is not present
(parameterized)
or if the synchronization bits 1 and 2 for incremental en-
coders are not set, then bytes 4, 5, and 6 = FFHex. (11111111).
