5.3 ”SIMODRIVE 611 universal E HRS” control board
The ”SIMODRIVE 611 universal E HRS” control board is used for
SINUMERIK 802D with the ”Motion Control using the PROFIBUS DP” function.
Using this function, a clock–cycle synchronous drive coupling can be estab-
lished between a DP master (e.g. SINUMERIK 802D) and the DP Slave
”SIMODRIVE 611 universal E HRS”.

The control board has the following features:

S The parameters can be set as follows:
– Using the ”SimoCom U” parameterizing and startup tool
– Using the display and operator control unit on the front panel
– Using PROFIBUS DP (parameter area, PKW area)
S Software and data
The software and the user data are saved on an interchangeable memory
module.
S Terminals and operator control elements
– 2 analog inputs and 2 analog outputs per drive
– 2 digital inputs and 2 digital outputs per drive
– 2 measuring sockets
– POWER–ON RESET button with integrated LED
– Display and operator unit
S Safe start inhibit (refer to Section 9.5)
S Serial interface (RS232)
S A TTL encoder can be connected as an additional measuring system
