CUTTING NARROW TEETH
When cutting teeth that are narrower than
the cutter thickness, the display will show
:
A)
When START is pressed the cutter will trim a
portion of material totalling 25/100 mm from the
right and left hand sides of the tooth (drawing 1).
For Max. trim, bear in mind the 3 situations
described below.
1 = Negative tooth (not the first tooth) with base less
that the cutter. The cutter trims a portion of material
from the right and left hand sides of the tooth,
totalling 25/100 mm. (drawing 1).
2 = First negative tooth, front stop M, height greater
than the safety measurement for the K1 tailstock.
When START is pressed the cutter trims a portion
of material (drawing 2).
3 = First negative tooth, front stop M, height below
the safety measurement for the K1 tailstock.
When START is pressed the cutter trims a portion
of material totalling 25/100 mm (drawing 3).
ATTENTION: if the max. thickness value of the cutter to be
selected is less than that forseen on the
machine, the key cannot be cut (see ERROR
12). Press STOP.
B)
Press ENTER and select a cutter with a thickness
the same as or less than that indicated; change the
cutter.
Press STOP to quit cutter selection and START to
begin cutting.
ATTENTION: if the max. thickness value of the cutter to be
selected is less than that forseen on the
machine, the key cannot be cut. Press
STOP.
