In addition to the possibility to produce a copy of a key starting from a reading made by the
IDEA optic reader, it is also possible to produce a copy of a key starting from a reading
made by OPTIKA using the Key Reader Program or Silca key Program.
In the Key Reader Program, the “Copy key” control allows the operator to read the cuts on an original key
with the OPTIKA device and automatically forward all the necessary data with which to produce a copy with
IDEA.
The job will be received by the machine from the PC queue.
Note:
The job received in the PC queue will delete any existing job queue.
The OPTIKA device is unable to read cuts on the following types of keys:
Shoulder stop (mortice)
Special bit female
Square stepped tip (FIAM)
Rear stop
MUEL pump keys
•Abus
•Abloy
Tibbe
- When transmission from the PC is over, the job will be viewed in the “PC QUEUE” menu.
- Make sure the job indicates the right type of key to be copied:
Types of keys legend:
[FAM] = Bit Stop Male
[FAF] = Bit Stop Female
[POM] = Pump
Press ENTER.
Note: for male keys with front stop the job received from the OPTIKA device is not complete,
the operator must select the right KEY TYPE to copy
.
- Select the KEY TYPE from those shown. The machine will then be able to show the operator the right
adapter and download the relative program for cutting the key.
- Fit the key blank in accordance with all the procedures described in the manual for the chosen key type
and press START.
