5.17 E NTERING THE CUTS
Make a search for the SSN by entering the number corresponding to the system required, and confirm with
ENTER.
or by Make
• press the key [Right-hand arrow] to place the pointer next to the “Make” field.
It is enough to enter the first letters of the name; the name of the MAKE closest in alphabetical order appears
automatically;
• the arrows can be used to scroll the sequence of previous and successive MAKES in alphabetical order.
• use the key [CLEAR] to delete the text entered.
• the last line of the window indicates the result of the search: “[04] List = ENTER”: 4 SSN have been
found, press [ENTER] to see the list.
• the symbol >> indicates that there are other systems/locks
• press [Down arrow] to scroll the list and highlight the item required.
• to view further information relating to the SSN listed, hold down the key (Right-hand arrow).
After selecting the SSN, you will see:
or in the case of a double bit:
? = indicates a fixed tooth and cannot be edited
123.. = the depth symbols admitted for the selected data card
SHIFT+? = produces the special character # that indicates a depth the same as that of the STEM.
[arrow Down] = goes from one bit to the other
CLEAR = deletes the symbols
[ ------- ] = ONLY from the box relating to BIT 1 with SHIFT + [arrow Up]  to define one of the following
characteristics of the key:
SSN = 9 (Cut)
