IDEA Operating Manual - English
5 USER’S GUIDE
I
NTRODUCTION
The Users’ Guide provided below explains how to use the IDEA key-cutting machine without a Personal
Computer.
All the operations are explained step by step so that the machine can be used in the manual mode.
The personal computer programs available that can be connected to the key-cutting machine are used to
transmit data for the cutting and decoding of keys.
Personal computer programs eliminate the need to carry out certain functions manually and skip some of the
screens in the User’s Guide once the data have been transmitted.
When IDEA is used with a Personal Computer, the User’s Guide does not change its viewing logic, except
for the screens that are not required.
