KEYS

SQUARE
SECTION
STEMS
The Chubb adapter set is required for the code-cutting of Chubb keys (CHUBB RKS) with square section
stems (fig. 36). It comprises 2 identical adapters (A) for the optic reader clamp and the swivel clamp.
1) Fit adapter (A1) into the groove on the optic reader clamp, take it up against the stop (X1).
2) Place the key to be decoded in its place on the adapter, which must butt against the key rim (Y1).
NOTE: place the key so that the bit is as horizontal as possible.
3) Place the second adapter (A2) into the standard tailstock and tighten the grub screw (G) (fig. 36).
4) Place the key to be cut into its seat on the adapter, which must butt up against the key rim (Y2); take the
rotating clamp up to the stem and secure the key.
5) Proceed with the cutting operation.
