A TEST menu is incorporated in the machine, provided for finding faults and making checks.
ATTENTION: this “Test” chapter serves as a check on any errors/anomalies that could occur on the machine
(ch. 7.1, page 119).
From the main menu choose the function by placing the
pointer on “5 - Maintenance”
.
Select “2 - Test”.
• Test 1: OPTICAL READER
Carefully follow the instructions that are on the machine’s display. Check that the optical reader’s status
changes from OFF to ON.
NOTE: if the OFF/ON transition is not made, contact Silca’s Technical Assistance Dept.
• Test 2: X AXIS MOTOR
Carefully follow the instructions on the display and check that the X axis carriage moves.
ATTENTION: during this test all the end of run controls are disabled; avoid moving the carriage up against its
mechanical stops.
NOTE: if the motor does not start, contact Silca’s Technical Assistance Dept.
• Test 3: Y AXIS MOTOR
Carefully follow the instructions on the display and check that the Y axis carriage moves.
ATTENTION: during this test all the end of run controls are disabled; avoid moving the carriage up against its
mechanical stops.
NOTE: if the motor does not start, contact Silca’s Technical Assistance Dept.
• Test 4: B AXIS MOTOR
This Test can be carried out only when the S1 clamp is installed on the machine.
