•Stand-alone
Synchronizationisturnedoff.ThissynchronizationmodeisusediftheSU90
isworkingbyitselfandwithnosynchronizationrequired.Thisisthedefault
setting.TheSU90operatesusingitsinternalpingintervalparameters,
independentofanytriggersignalsarrivingatthesynchronizationport.
TheSynchronizationDelaysettingisnotapplicablewhensynchronizationis
switchedoff.
•Master
MastermodeisusediftheSU90isgoingtoactasthecontrollingunitina
synchronizedsystem.Theperipheralhydroacousticsystem(s)areonlypermitted
totransmitwhenenabledbytheSU90.WhenMastermodeisselected,theSU90
willrunusingitsinternalpingintervalparametersandsendtriggersignalstothe
peripheralsystem(s).
•Slave
SlavemodeisusediftheSU90isgoingtotransmitonlywhenpermittedbya
peripheralsystem.WhenSlavemodeisselected,theSU90doesnottransmit
("ping")unlessanexternaltriggerappearsonthechosensynchronizationport.
Theperipheralsystemmaybeanyotherhydroacousticproduct(forexamplean
echosounderorsonar),orevenadedicatedsynchronizationsystem.
7SelectSynchronizationDelay.
Thisdelayparameterisuseddifferentlydependingonthechosensynchronization
mode.
