InordertousetheSU90,youmustrstturniton.ToturnontheSU90usethePower
buttonontheOperatingPanel.TheSU90programstartsautomaticallywhenthe
ProcessorUnitisturnedon.
Caution
YoumustneverstartSU90transmissions(pinging)whentheshipisindrydock.The
transducermaybedamagedifittransmitsinopenair.
Procedure
1Makesurethatyouhavesufcientwaterdepthbelowthekeelbeforeyoulower
thetransducer.
2Turnonthedisplay(s).
Ifrequired,refertotheinstructionsprovidedbythedisplaymanufacturer.
3OntheOperatingPanel,pressPower,andkeepitdepressedforafewseconds.
TheblueindicatorlightinthebuttonasheswhiletheOperating
PanelestablishescontactwiththeProcessorUnit.Whenthe
connectionhasbeenmade,theblueindicatorlightislitpermanently.
WaitwhiletheoperatingsystemandSU90programisloadedand
started.BoththeProcessorUnitandtheTransceiverUnitareturned
onautomatically.
4ObservethattheTransceiverOn/Offdialogboxopensautomatically.
Thedialogboxoffersprogressinformation.Youcanmonitortheprogressasthe
TransceiverUnitisturnedon.Abluecircleonthehullunitsymbolmeansthatyour
SU90ProcessorUnitcommunicateswiththeMotorControlUnit.
5Oncetheprogramhasstarted,observethatthepresentationllstheentirescreen.
Theprogramstartsupusingthesamesettingsasthelasttimeyouusedit.Ifthese
settingsareacceptable,continueoperation.Ifyouwishtoalteranyofthesettings,
seetherelevantprocedures.
