Severaldifferentcolourscalesarepredenedandavailableforthepresentationofthe
echoes.Youcaneasilychoosewhichcolourstouse.Thepresentationcolourshaveno
effectontheoperationalperformanceoftheSU90.
Context
Whichcolourscaletouseismainlyapersonalpreferencebasedonambientlight
conditions,thenatureoftheechoesandyourownexperience.Keepinmindthatinthe
basicscalewith12colours,eachdiscretecolourrepresentsa3dBrangeofechosignal
strength.Thisimpliesthatthenextcolourisselectedeverytimetheechostrengthis
doubled.Ifyouchoosetousemanycolours,theresolutionoftheSU90presentation
isgreatlyimproved.Itistheneasiertodistinguishthedifferencebetweenthevarious
echoesofdifferentsizeand/ortargetstrength.
TheSmoothEchosounderscaleisbasedonthestandard12-colourscale.Additional
colourshavebeenaddedbetweenthemtomakesmoothercolourtransitions.

ObservethattheColourSetupdialogboxopens.
3UnderEchoColours,choosethecolourscaleyouwanttouse.
4UnderColourBrightness,choosehowintenseyouwantthesecolourstoappear.
5Atthebottomofthedialogbox,selectApplytopreviewyourchoice(s).
6SelectOKtosavetheselectedsettingandclosethedialogbox.
