14 Monitoring of the SunnyHomeManager system
The menu page PV system monitoring displays the following information depending on your system's configuration:
• Communication Monitoring
• Inverter comparison
• SMA Smart Connected
• System configuration
You can configure each of these ranges separately.
If an exclamation mark is displayed next to the System Monitoring menu item in the page and menu selection, you
should open the page and check and fix the reason for the display.
14.1 Overview of system monitoring
14.1.1 Communication Monitoring
Communication monitoring displays the current communication status between the SunnyHomeManager and
SunnyPortal. If the SunnyHomeManager does not communicate with SunnyPortal within the set time, SunnyPortal
will display an error and notify you by e-mail.
The communication monitoring status is displayed with the following symbols:
Symbol Status Explanation
Disabled Communication monitoring is not set.
OK Communication with SunnyPortal is OK. The time of last contact is displayed.
Errors
Communication with SunnyPortal is interrupted. The Details link provides you
with detailed information on the time of the last contact.
The error will be displayed until it has been rectified.
If the error is not corrected, SunnyPortal will send another e-mail reminder each
day for up to threedays after the first e-mail was sent.
E-mail
reminder is acti-

Clicking the bell icon stops the sending of reminder e-mails for the current error.
If a new error occurs, the e-mail reminder will be sent again.
14.1.2 Inverter Comparison
The inverter comparison enables SunnyPortal to recognize possible yield losses. If the specific yield of an inverter
differs significantly from the mean yield of all the inverters, SunnyPortal can notify you by e-mail. Since we are talking
about PV yields, only PV and hybrid inverters play a role in this comparison.
