14.2 Configuring PV System Monitoring
14.2.1 Setting Communication Monitoring
The [Settings] button lets you select whether you want to monitor the communication between SunnyPortal and your
system. If you would like monitoring, you can specify at what interval and how strictly this monitoring should take
place.
SunnyPortal can only display current data of the SunnyHomeManager and switch loads if the data request
interval is set to Automatic.
Requirement:
☐ You must have the user role Installer or PV System Administrator (see Section16.1, page114).
Procedure:
1. In the area Communication Monitoring, select [Settings].
2. Click the slider below Alerts and, holding the left mouse button pressed, set the monitoring strength according to
which SunnyPortal is to notify you by e‑mail.
These options can be selected: off, liberal, tolerant and sharp.
☑ The result of the selected setting (time interval: 15 minutes) is shown in the column Time.
3. Enter the e-mail address(es) of the recipient(s) in the text field Recipient. If you enter several e-mail addresses,
separate these by commas. (Only e-mail addresses already registered in SunnyPortal are authorized.)
4. Activate/deactivate monitoring for devices shown.
5. Click on [Save].
Setting the data request interval for the SunnyHomeManager:
The interval for the data request can be specified in the menu Configuration under Device overview > Properties
> Edit (see Section11.3.9, page59) The options are automatic, hourly or daily.
The SunnyHomeManager can only request data of the devices that have Data request activated (see
Section11.1.4, page52).
14.2.2 Setting the Inverter Comparison
