7.3.1.4 SmartLink (CEC)
If you have a CEC

-compatible TV set, and receiver and TV set are con-
nected via HDMI you can switch on and off both sets with the remote
control of your smart CX20 (standby mode).
Make sure that CEC is turned on also with the TV.
7.3.2 Timer Setting
This sub-menu can be used to program, edit and delete up to eight differ-
ent recordings (or channel switches). Beside it offers the possibility that
the receiver switches automatically from the operating mode to the
standby mode.
1. In the sub-menu Timer Setting, mark a timer by using the keys /
PR+ and / PR-.
2. Press OK to open the timer.
3. Mark the line Timer Mode by using the keys / PR+ and / PR-.
4. You can select from the following possibilities by using the keys
/ and / :
Value Meaning
Off
The timer is deactivated.
Once
Recording of a single program.
Daily
Recording every day at the same time (e.g. the news program
every day)
Weekly
Event always at the same weekday
Monday to Friday
Event Monday to Friday at the same time.
5. Mark the line Timer Service by using the keys / PR+ and / PR-.
You can select from the following possibilities by using the keys
/ and / :

CEC = Consumer Electronics Control = HDMI feature for entertainment units, provides via
HDMI various control functions, e. g. "one touch recording" or "system standby". Most man-
ufacturers use their own brand names for CEC.
