8.2.20 Importing and Exporting Tabs
All your edit panel layouts can be exported and imported allowing you to share your creations with
other Tango users. To access this feature touch Edit Panel button on the System menu. The page
operates the same way as the versions and firmware pages.
The Import button will scan any removable or mapped network devices and copy the files to Tango’s
archive folder (C:\Program Files\Smart AV\Archive). The Install button will install the selected file
into the Tango folders. After you install a new set of edit panel files, they will not automatically be
loaded into the edit panels, you must use the Next Tab and Previous Tab buttons in Configure > Edit
Panel to select and activate any newly installed tabs.
When installing the edit panel files, any duplicate edit panel files will be ignored if they are of the same
date, time and size, otherwise the older file will be renamed with a 4 digit random number suffix. This
ensures that you will never lose any of your edit panel Layouts when loading new configurations.
The Export button allows you to export (and backup) your edit panel tabs. The created exported file
name is formatted as follows consolepanel_<date>_<time>_<eng>.zip, where <eng> is the DAW
name. The file contains an archive of the edit panel folders. It is copied to the Tango's Archive folder
and will also copy the file to the root directory of any connected USB media.
