value to ensure a reliable communication between Tango and Pro Tools. This defaults to 100 and most
users shouldn't need to change it.
Auto-control plugin window visibility If set to true, Tango will automatically open and close plug-in
windows as you change slots. This is for Pro Tools only.
Connected To Logic 8 There are slight differences in communication protocols for Logic 8 & 9. Set
this to be true if you are using Logic 8 with Tango. If this is set to false and you are using Logic 8
Compressor parameters won't be mapped correctly.
9.4.3 User Interface
DAW follows active channel if this option is set to true, then engine's active channel will follow
Tango's active channel.
Timometer drop time is used to set Timometer drop time, to learn more about this feature read
MonARC and Expert Panel chapter for more details.
Recall MonARC view with ergonomic spread – if this option is set to true then MonARC view will be
recalled along with the ergonomic spread.
Lock work channels to first HUI device if this options is set to true than HUI window will always
move when you swipe the MonARC and the first 8 channels of the HUI window will always match the
first 8 work channels.
Inject range rather than inject swap if this option is set to true then you can expand the channels in
the channel slots to the left or right of the inject point by touching the first inject point and then
touching a second inject point. If this option is set to false than you can swap channels in the channel
slots by touching any two inject points at the same time - the channels touched will swap positions.
Inject sets channel automation mode if this option is set to true then MonARC automation state
modifier + inject sets changes channels automation mode. If it's set to false then the channel fader
needs to be touched instead of the inject point.
Inject + Fader injects channel if set to true touching an inject point followed by touching any fader
will insert the fader's channel into the inject point's position.
Single-shot group recall if set to true once you recall a group Tango will go out of group recall
mode, and if it's set to false Tango will stay in group recall mode until the user manual exits the mode.
Chair to right of finger if this option is set to true then when you swipe the MonARC the first
channel will align with your finger, and it's set to false than the centre of the work channels will align
with your finger.
Talk/Slate hold time if you hold Talk/Slate button for longer than the set time than the button will
release as soon as the you let go.
Auto open plug-in windows – if this set to true than a plug-in window will automatically open in DAW
when you select it from Tango.
Logic auto instantiate if this option is set to true then when you tap on a blank active dynamics (or
EQ) block the plug-in will be automatically inserted on the channel.
Screen saver delay the time it takes for the screen-saver to kick in on Tango. If set to 0 the screen-
saver will be disabled.
Hide mouse cursor – this option hides mouse cursor.
9.4.4 Metering
Meter drop time indicates a rate at which the Tango meters drop until they receive a new value from
the DAW.
Peak1 hold time and Peak2 hold time options allow you to set the peak hold times for all meters on
